Sugar, spice, and shine that is nice. Our Apple Pie Sour Martini is a zesty spin on the standard Sour.
A traditional Whiskey Sour delicately balances bright lemon juice, warming whiskey, and just enough simple syrup to round out the edges. For our take on this classic, we swapped whiskey for our best-selling Apple Pie Moonshine. Using a ginger syrup for an added bite, our Apple Pie Sour is tangy and warm at the same time.
Whip this martini up for a flavorful, warming after-dinner drink. Draw out the fresh and tart lemon notes with a citrus sugar rim.
Makes 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
1 oz lemon juice
0.5 oz ginger syrup*
Lemon zest and sugar for rim
*Ginger Syrup: Combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water and 1 cup sliced fresh ginger root in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain mixture and allow to cool before using.
Directions
Rim a coupe or martini glass with lemon zest and sugar.
Add moonshine, lemon juice, and ginger syrup into a cocktail tin with ice.
Shake and strain into rimmed glass. Enjoy!
